POLICE in ‘D’ Division are looking for four men who showed up in front of a Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara businessman’s home on Saturday night armed with guns.
The incident occurred around 22:00 hours.
According to Commander of ‘D’ Division, Errol Watts, he received a call and immediately acted on the information but when police arrived at the scene, the men were nowhere to be found.
The businessman, Satnarine Deonarine, said that around 10:00 hours, he heard someone calling in front of his home and when he looked out, he saw four men.
He related that he also saw a yellow taxi dropped the men off and drove a short distance away from his home and parked. One of the men, the businessman related, was calling continuously and the three others were standing behind him.
He also related that he noticed the men were taking pictures of his property and vehicles.
Deonarine said he could not identify anyone but has footage from his CCTV cameras. He related that recently he has been looking for a man who had conned him and believes that the men who visited his home are associated with the said con artist.
The businessman is calling on police to heighten patrol in the Meten-Meer-Zorg area.
