ONE of three bandits was arrested on Tuesday, after a robbery in the wee hours at Guy America Housing Scheme, Hill Foot, Soesdyke Linden Highway.
The armed bandits escaped with one Excavator Sensor/monitor.
Reports indicate that two men were on duty in the Housing Scheme when the three robbers ran up to them, held them at gunpoint and demanded the article mentioned for the excavator.
One of the suspects ended up in a scuffle which resulted in the two employees of Guy America being tied up and beaten.
The suspects then removed the item mentioned from a parked excavator and made good their escape.
However, at approximately 05:50 hours, acting on information received, to the effect that the three suspects were seen at the Soesdyke Junction, police ranks responded and arrested one of the suspects.
He was identified as a 21-year-old unemployed man of Kuru Kururu Soesdyke Linden Highway. Police found him hiding in a yard.
The excavator senor and a toy gun were dropped by the men after the police gave chase.
