RESIDENTS living in the Lima Sands community, in Region Two, are calling for help to fix their roads which have been deteriorating months now. According to residents, the roads within their area are eroding and washing away daily.

Residents said that on Saturday, a truck was stuck on a deteriorated part of the road. Residents had to come together and assist the driver to pull his truck out. Residents related that officials from the Region Two administration are aware of the condition of the road but no one is helping.

“The rain has made things worse for us. The water has made the road erode…the road in front the Primary School already deteriorated” a resident explained.

Drivers utilizing the area also vented their concerns, stating that many times they had to refuse to take passengers in due to the road. As a result, many persons are forced to walk long distances since drivers do not want to enter the community.

Residents are, therefore, calling on relevant authorities to visit the area and to fix the road as early as possible.
