Prem Sukh, called ‘Dave’, a 47- year- old contractor who was working on a structure at Durban Street,Lodge was shot dead at around 17:30hrs today at the worksite.

According to reports, the man’s fellow workers were in the building when they heard the first shot and rushed outside to find the man in the yard covered in blood.The man lived at Lusignan, East Coast Demerara.

The man’s workers reported that they were unable to identify the shooter when they got outside. One of Sukh’s workmates stated that although he is not aware that the man had any enemies, it is alleged that the contractor was shot twice to his leg on Father’s day.

According to reports the man sustained multiple gunshot wounds  about his body during the attack on Thursday.

Police are investigating the incident.
