DAYS after two teen boys were struck down in a hit-and-run accident last Sunday, two persons have been apprehended and are in police custody assisting with the investigation, while the vehicle which is believed to have hit the boys has been impounded.
16-year-old Sheldon Major was killed, while his brother, 4-year-old Christopher Pollard, who is nursing severe injuries to the head and face, were stuck down by a motor vehicle on the Enmore Public Road around 19:00hrs Sunday evening.

Pollard, who was accompanied by Major was said to be returning home from his grandmother’s residence when the accident occurred. One of the victims was discovered motionless on the northern edge of the road, while the other was found in a semi-conscious state on the grass parapet by passersby. Both teens were found with severe injuries about their heads and bodies, and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation by police ranks, where Major was pronounced dead on arrival, while Pollard was admitted to the Accident and Emergency Unit.
