The Regional Taskforce, however, commended the efforts of the Essequibo Chamber of Commerce and Industry for partnering with the team in providing the necessary equipment, gears, and sanitizing agents to keep public places clean. The Essequibo Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also donated several items to the Taskforce to ensure that hampers are packed and given out to vulnerable groups within the region. Food hampers were recently distributed to the differently abled and residents of Lima Sands recently.

The Regional Taskforce is, therefore, appealing to the general public to continue to wear their mask and to wash their hands before entering public places. Social distancing is also advised.
