Linden baby drowns in bucket of water

POLICE in Linden are currently investigating the conditions surrounding the drowning of a 10-month-old boy in a bucket of water at his Section A, West Watooka, Wismar, Linden home on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at about 16:10 hours and the child has been identified as Keron Abrams.

At 14:00 hours, the child’s mother, 24-year-old Tiffany Porter, left for work, leaving Keron with her 19-year-old sister.
The 19-year-old said that she had received a phone call at about 16:00 hours and went to the second floor of the house, leaving the 10-month-old playing on the floor with his siblings and his 10-year-old aunt. She noted that as she was going downstairs 10 minutes later, she noticed the aunt coming from the front door with the baby in her hands stating that the toddler fell into a bucket of water.

The child was rushed to the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC), where he was pronounced dead on arrival at 16:40 hours. The body was examined at LHC by the police and no marks of violence was seen on the exposed part of the child’s body. The body is presently at the Pensioner Mortuary awaiting a post mortem. Investigation in progress.
