Within the past 24-hours, 3 additional persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus carrying the total number of persons who have tested positive for the virus in Guyana, to 97.

At the same time, the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has noted that 2 more persons have been placed in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit during that period, taking the total number of persons in that unit, to 5.

In its daily update, the MOPH noted that the number of tests conducted has climbed to 852, 67 more than the number listed on Friday.It was noted that 755 cases have tested negative while the number of deaths remain at 10.

Globally, the total number of cases recorded eclipsed the 4 million mark , according to the Johns Hopkins University.
