THE Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) has announced that due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, that regular mail service is suspended until further notice.

However, due to special arrangements made with the Ministry of Social Protection, Old age and NIS pension vouchers can be cashed on April 16, 17, 22, 23, 29 & 30, 2020 at all Post Offices from 09:00 hrs. to 15:00 hrs.

The GPOC had earlier announced that all of its all post offices will be closed from Thursday, April 9, 2020, but was forced to extend such due to special arrangements for persons to uplift Old Age and NIS pensions.

Bulk mail will be accepted on April 16 & 17, 2020. Notices will be publicized and sent to the relevant agencies.

Treasury pensions will be paid on April 22 & 23, 2020, at all Post Offices from 09:00 hrs. to 15:00 hrs.
