The Guyana National Newspapers Limited (GNNL) wishes to offer an unequivocal apology to Mr. Wesley Kirton for the publication of a letter to the editor from a Concerned Citizen in last week’s Sunday Chronicle. The Chronicle acknowledges that the letter contained several inaccuracies and accusations and did not provide any satisfactory proof of the accusations, thereby bringing into question the character, ethics and professionalism of Mr. Kirton.

The Guyana Chronicle regrets this unusual lapse and remains committed to providing accurate news to all Guyana. We thank Mr. Kirton for his understanding in this matter and regret any embarrassment he may have suffered as a result of the letter.
