POLICE have issued a wanted bulletin for Daniel Mc Lennon, also called “Dutty”, who is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Corentyne businessman, Lomenzo Johnny.

McLennon’s last known address was listed as Lot 153 Third Street Swamp Section Rose Hall, Corentyne, Berbice.

The popular businessman operated a grocery shop at Lot 11, East Side Line Dam, Portuguese Quarter, Port Mourant. He was discovered in a clump of bushes, on a farm, a short distance from his home, On February 27, 2020.
The 49-year-old was last seen alive at around 19:30hrs on the night of February 26, as he went out for his usual evening jog.

His remains were discovered around 07:45hrs the following morning, with his feet tied with a black lace, severe wounds to his head, injuries to his left eye and strangulation marks on his neck. Wounds were also seen on his back and bruises to the hands.
Four persons were arrested last week in connection with the grisly murder. According to reliable information reaching the Guyana Chronicle, a safe that was stolen from the businessman’s home was also recovered and a sum of approximately $2M was found on two of the suspects.

The arrests were made late Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, police are searching for John France who is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Daniel Akeem Amore on March 1, 2020 at Buxton, East Coast Demerara.

The 18-year-old Amore of Section 20 ‘A’ Friendship, Buxton, East Coast Demerara, was killed at Clyde Roopchand Drive, Friendship- Buxton, ECD. Investigation revealed that the deceased and the suspect are related and reside opposite each other and were involved in a scuffle when Amore was stabbed to his chest.
