Masked bandits rob birthday crew

FIVE persons celebrating a birthday at a house in Triumph East Coast Demerara, (ECD) on Sunday, were robbed by three armed bandits
The robbers allegedly robbed the persons of over $200,000 in cash, jewellry and cell phones.

The five persons included an electrician, a businessman, two automotive body workmen and a female of the same Triumph address.

Reports indicate that the victims were home, celebrating the birth anniversary of Mohammed Wahab, when three robbers, with their face masked with rags, walked in and demanded money and valuables.

The robbers entered the yard by making a hole in the fence. The victims were all placed face down on the ground and, during the robbery, a confrontation occurred, causing one of the bandits to fire three shots in the air.

In the aftermath, the robbers made good their escape.
When contacted, the police confirmed that they were investigating the robbery.
