A pensioner at Tabatinga, Lethem died on Christmas Day during a fire which gutted his home.

Reports are that around 1500hrs on Christmas Day, Radie Johnny’s grandson went to visit him but observed the elderly man’s remains under his gutted home.

Reports are that  man lived with his son but it is unclear where the man’s offspring was at the time of the fire.

Police are investigating the incident.
