KEY stakeholders in Bartica are all in unison with Guyana Football Federation (GFF) as the train has already been set in motion for the grand return of competitive football to the community later this month.
The stage is set for a terrific time when the GFF Super 16 Cup touches down for what is anticipated to be an exciting head-to-head battle between the top team in the community, Rivers View Football Club, and GFF Elite League team, Western Tigers, on Saturday December 21 at the Bartica Community Centre ground.
Seeking to ensure that all the i’s are dotted and the t’s crossed, president of GFF, Wayne Forde, led a federation team that met with Regional Chairman Gordon Bradford; Regional Executive Officer (REO) of Region 7, Erwin Ward; Mayor of Bartica, His Worship Gifford Marshall; and president of the Bartica Football Association, Alden Marslowe; among others. The meeting took place in the office of the REO.
The stakeholders expressed delight at being selected as one of the venues for the GFF Super 16 Cup and promised to pull out all the stops to make the experience of all a resounding success.
They also articulated their appreciation to the GFF president for bringing football back to Bartica and assured him of their support in making this event a memorable one. Specific areas of responsibilities were also covered.
BFA president Alden Marslowe also assured the president that the association and the Bartica community will do all that is needed to ensure that River’s View FC will deliver a spectacular performance, come December 21.
