THE trial pertaining to the murder of ‘D’ Field, Sophia shopkeeper Shawn Anys, who was killed during a robbery in 2015, commenced on Tuesday before Justice Sandil Kissoon and a 12-member mixed jury at the High Court.
Jamal Forde, 25, formerly of South Ruimveldt, denied the charge which alleged that on May 1, 2015 at ‘D’ Field, Sophia, he murdered Anys.

He was then confronted by two armed men who forced him into the house and shot him while demanding money and valuables. The gunmen made off with $40,000 in cash along with jewellery.
