North Georgetown, Timehri, Tucville register big wins

THERE were big wins for North Georgetown and Timehri as the 2019 edition of the Smalta Girls Pee Wee Football competition continued yesterday.

The day opened with West Ruimveldt beating Marian Academy 1-0, Tyanna George scoring in the 25th minute.

In the second game, St Stephen’s drew 0-0 with Genesis

Tucville blanked F.E. Pollard 4-0 with Kasmin James’ double leading the way in the 5th and 15th along with Sherita Carmichael (29th) and Shonia Lovell (30th).

North Georgetown were also big winners over Redeemer with Martha Chance scoring all five goals (7th, 8th 14th, 27th and 30th).

South Ruimveldt took on Smith Memorial with the game ending in a 2-2 draw. Briana Elliot scored a double in the 10th and 27th for South Ruimveldt, with Fiona Gibbs (5th) and Akyesha Abrams (15th) responding on behalf of Smith Memorial.

In Match 18, Timehri thrashed St Margaret’s 4-0, thanks to a hat-trick from Angel Bailey (5th, 9th and 22nd) with Althia Trotman scoring the other goal in the 14th minute.
