GUYANA Beverages Inc. via its Koolkid brand, signed a one-year pact with Chase Academy towards the continued expansion and growth of sports within the institution.
Chase Academy is one of the premier institutions in Guyana which have been dominant in both sports and academics over the years, churning out a few national athletes while dominating and winning titles in major schools tournaments like cricket and football.
Friday’s signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the company and the school is confirmation of their plans to ensure that the students and the sports faculty continue to thrive solidly for at least another year.
Samuel Arjune, Guyana Beverages Inc. Commercial Manager and Principal of Chase Academy, ‘Sir’ Henry Chase, along with Angelina Rodney, Brand Manager Koolkid, inked the deal at the school’s Kingston location.
According to Arjune the deal will be revised at the conclusion of the year. He said that it will, in the meantime, significantly lend to the development of the athletes in their endeavours.
A U-15 schools football tournament is also in the pipeline, with ‘Sir’ Chase highlighting how significant sponsorship for a year will greatly assist the school in its sports field. He thanked the sponsors and assured them that the school will make full use of their support for the next year.
