TWO motorcyclists crashed into each other in a head on collision at Rupunau Church yard located in South Central Rupununi, Region Nine, on Saturday, resulting in the death of a 31-year-old.
Dead is Ben Aguilar of Rupunau Village South Central Rupununi. The other motorcyclist was identified as 25-year-old Baldwin Wilson of Rupunau village South Central Rupununi.
Reports indicate that Baldwin Wilson and Aguilar were riding separate motor cycles at a fast rate of speed in the Rupunau Church yard and collided head-on in the same compound. As a result of the collision both riders were thrown onto the ground and sustained injuries about their bodies.
Wilson was placed in a vehicle and taken to Lethem Regional Hospital where he was seen and examined by a doctor on duty and admitted as a patient while Ben Aguilar, who was presumed dead by family members, was taken home to be buried.
