-Rose Hall to face Albion in finals
A SPIRITED last over from all-rounder Kevlon Anderson saw Rose Hall Town Namilco Thunderbolt Flour to a tense win over the Young Warriors Cricket Club, when the semi-finals of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB)/Ivan Madray Memorial 20/20 first division tournament continued last weekend.
Playing at the Area ‘H’ Ground, the Guyana youth all-rounder Anderson defended 10 runs from the final over, successfully dismissing Amir Khan with his fourth delivery to help his side defend 135.
Batting first, Rose Hall Town Thunderbolt Flour were given some impetus from Anderson, who earlier made 30, Jason Sinclair 34, Eon Hooper 12 and Jonathan Rampersaud 12, who took their side to 135 for 8 from 20 overs.
Bowling for Young Warriors, Kassim Khan 2-28 and Devendra Ramoutar 2-17 were the most successful bowlers. Needing to score 136 to advance to the finals, the defending Champions were kept to 128 despite Seon Hetmyer striking 40 and Alex Algoo chipping in with 28.
The Rose Hall side was given inroads from the experienced spinner Hooper, who ended with 2 for 20, while the hero Anderson ended with 2-21 and Rampersaud 2-19.
