LOCAL marksmen, Ray Beharry and Ryan McKinnon, dominated Sunday’s 4^th annual B.M Soat/Guyana Sport Shooting Foundation (GSSF) Costume Match held at the Timehri Ranges.

Under the watchful eyes of Range Master, Dallas Thomas and his team of range officials, Beharry shot an excellent 90.23 seconds in the Production Division while the more seasoned deadeye McKinnon completed his round in 74.30 to headline the Limited Division.

The Limited Division also saw the experienced John Phang shooting 87.31 seconds for his second place while former GSSF president, Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon finishing third with her time of 114.24 seconds.

The annual event saw gunners decked out in their best Halloween costumes as participants came dressed as FBI Agents, Police, the Terminator, among other notable characters or identities.

The scenario for the shoot saw four (4) different stages being attempted by the pistol men, as competitors shot at 5 individual steel targets per stage. Shooters were scored using an electronic timing device; penalties of added time were applied for any misses after the designated stop plate was shot and the total time taken was the score.

At the opening ceremony, chairman of the Practical Shooting Committee and the match director for this event, Dr. Pravesh Harry, expressed appreciation to Mr. Bashir Mohamed, Mrs. Vimala Priya Mohamed, Mr. Rameez Mohamed and the Management of B.M. Soat Auto Sales.
