A 39-year-old vendor, who allegedly assaulted a woman, appeared before City Magistrate, Annette Singh, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 17, 2019.
Rawle Robinson of Lodge, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that, on October 16, 2019, he assaulted a woman causing her actual bodily harm.
The unrepresented man told the court that he and the woman had a fight on the day in question.
Robinson’s mother, who was also present in court, stated that the two would fight regularly and she told them, if they could not get along, they should go their separate ways.
Robinson was released on $30,000 bail and placed on a one-year bond to keep the peace.
