Dear Editor,
THE PPP is hell-bent on sabotaging the Granger Government, and tries to misuse the court system in doing so. It has become a “vexatious litigant” having failed to bring cases with some merit.
It’s latest effort was to seek an order from the High Court that the APNU+AFC Cabinet/Government, including the President, must resign.
The PPP must be going mad, as they had failed to topple the government when the no-confidence motion was passed since our Constitution provides for the government to continue in office in order to hold fresh elections. The Constitution also provides that the President remains as Head of State until a new government takes office.
The Chief Justice was in order when she threw out the PPP’s fake law-suit. Her Honour Justice Roxanne George-Wiltshire described the action as “misconceived”, “vexatious” and as an “absolute abuse of the process of the Court”.
Guyanese would say that Jagdeo and company “eye-pass” the Court, and want to use it as their political plaything in their crazy game of grabbing power.
This must be the last straw that the drowning PPP is trying to grab.
Yours sincerely,
Cheryl Campbell.
