A 25-year-old CD vendor, charged for felonious wounding, was, on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, arraigned before Magistrate Faith McGusty.
Shawn Lee appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and admitted that, on July 11, 2019, at George and Norton Streets, Werk-En-Rust, with intent to maim, disfigure, disable and cause bodily harm, he maliciously assaulted Dellon Fraser.
“The morning when this thing happen I load his driver flash drive and the driver tell he pay me and he refused. So when I come out the bus he chuck me so I chop him with my cutlass,” Lee told the court.
Fraser, who is the sole breadwinner for his family, told the court, that since the incident, he has been unable to work due the injuries he sustained and will accept compensation from the defendant to settle the matter.
Lee was remanded to prison and ordered to pay the sum of $300,000 to Fraser for the injuries he received.
