THREE horses were recently donated to police at the Lethem Police Station to boost their mounted troop patrol.

The donation was made by Ulanda Vascomsellais, Manager of Santa Fe Inc. and Marlon Degar, a businessman of Lethem.

At a simple but significant handing-over ceremony attended by Commander of ‘F’ Division, Senior Superintendent, Kevin Adonis, the donors said the kind gesture seeks to assist the police with the necessary resources to boost their mounted troop patrol.

In addition, they stated that the residents and business community are pleased with the service of the police which has motivated them to donate the horses.

The commander, in his response, thanked the donors and reiterated the importance of good police-community relations.

He also asked the donors to have an eye out for the misuse of the horses and urged them to communicate same with the commander and officer in charge of the Lethem Police Station.

Also at the event were officer-in-charge of number two sub-division, Superintendent, Keithon King and other ranks, including Divisional Community Relations Officer, Woman Inspector, Metchelle Padmore.
