COME September 13, 2019, Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court is expected to rule in a drug trafficking case against a 39-year-old labourer.
Denish Nunes, of D’Urban Street, Lodge, was busted with 3.65 kilogrammes of cannabis on June 7, 2019, at this home, by ranks of the police narcotics branch. He is currently on remand.
On Monday, September 09, 2019, Police Prosecutor, Inspector Neville Jeffers laid over his closing submission to the court.

According to reports, on the day in question, a party of police officers went to Nunes’ Durban Street, Lodge apartment and conducted a search. The cannabis was found in a barrel.
