Guyanese to attend education summit in India

STAKEHOLDERS in the education sector have been invited to attend the 15th Higher Education Summit 2019 (FHES 2019) in New Delhi, India from November 27 – 29, 2019.
This is according to President of the Region Three Chamber of Commerce, Halim Khan.
The conference, which will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, is being hosted by the Government of India Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

In addition to deliberating on a number of policies, Khan said FHES 2019 will focus on developing an ecosystem for strategic partnership in the Education Sector between India and other countries.

“The summit will provide a forum for international educational providers interested to partner and engage with Indian higher education institutions and will encourage them for collaborations and partnerships,” Khan explained.

He said FHES 2019 will bring together Indian Educational Institutions from all streams and the international audience to enable interaction and discussions to enhance existing synergies in the higher education sector.

Further, the Region Three Chambers President said more than 150 exhibitors from leading Indian Institutions are expected to attend FHES 2019, where they will showcase a number of best practices to the global participants.

Additionally, he said there will be more than 1,250 Indian and foreign University Presidents, Vice Chancellors, Deans and other participants from Africa, Middle East, Canada, USA, UK in attendance.

According to him, on the last day of the summit, foreign delegates would be given an opportunity to visit several campuses.
“Organisers of FHES 2019 are inviting and hosting over 300 delegates from more than 70 countries including Guyana,” Khan related.
