THIRTY-six-year-old Marlon Bradley known as “Maley”, who is a suspect in the murder of a popular mechanic in Guyhoc Park, was shot on Sunday night after he resisted arrest and pointed a gun at a police constable.
Bradley is a suspect in investigations into the murder of Reginald ‘Reggie’ Atherly popularly known as “Diesel Boss”, who owned and operated a mechanic shop at his Lot G26 Guyhoc Park house, East La Penitence, Georgetown home on July 27.

According to police, a group of policemen were on patrol at the Stabroek Market Square when they saw Bradley of East La Penitence, Georgetown and of Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara walking on Cornhill Street towards a route 32 minibus.
As a result, a detective corporal approached the suspect in an effort to arrest him when he whipped out a handgun from his crotch and pointed it in constable’s direction.
The police constable then drew his service pistol and discharged a round in Badley’s direction. He fell to the ground and was apprehended.
Police retrieved a .32 Taurus pistol with eight live .32 rounds of ammunition.
The murder suspect was picked up and escorted to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was admitted.
