THE second person who died in the accident on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway has been identified as 43-year-old Faye Williams.

Williams, of Waiakahra, and 44-year-old Royston Stewart died after the vehicle they were in collided with motorcar PVV 535. The woman was reportedly one of four passengers of hire car, HC 2554, which was driven by Stewart.

According to a close friend of Stewart, motorcar PVV 535 was reportedly heading towards the Soesdyke/Linden Highway junction while the car driven by Stewart was heading in the opposite direction. The Guyana Chronicle was told that motorcar PVV 535 was in the process of overtaking another vehicle that was heading in the same direction when it came into the path of the hire car.

As a result of the collision, Williams and Stewart died while the other passengers sustained serious injuries. Stewart, of Sandville, Kuru Kururu, Seosdyke-Linden Highway, died while receiving medical treatment at the Georgetown Public Hospital Cooperation (GPHC).
