THE lifeless body of a 26-year-old nurse was discovered at the nurses’ quarters at Mahdia in Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni) on Tuesday evening.

Dead is Schenise Apple, who hails from Linden. Reports are that the discovery was made around 18:00hrs after the young woman failed to show up for work, and investigators are treating her death as a suicide.

The incident has left many in shock, including her father, who told this publication last evening that he was awaiting information from the authorities regarding what may have caused her demise.
Police investigations are ongoing.
