CACIQUE Toastmasters Club, District 81, Division F, Area 40, held its Installation and Award Ceremony Tuesday evening at the Georgetown Club in the Capital City.

The installation and Award Ceremony was held to install new Club Officers for the period 2019 -2020 and to award persons who participated in the various categories: Speech Contest, Long –Standing Support, Most Improved Toastmaster, Most Promising Toastmaster and Best Orator, during the year 2018 -2019.

Outgoing president of the Club, Toastmaster Lisa Agard, in her report to the gathering, recounted that she had an opportunity to work with amazing executives and leading such a dynamic team has been a great accomplishment for her as President.

She added that there are a number of lessons that she had learnt over the last twelve months. “The ability to breathe, relax and allow persons to flow” was one of them.
Agard noted that leading persons who came from varying backgrounds, with sometimes conflicting ideas, has been an experience which has contributed to the Club’s development and has brought it to the level it is at today.

Incoming president, Pamarysa Bobb, in her remarks, said that “I prefer to serve out of the limelight “. Bobb added that, as president, she is prepared to share the vision with others, thus forming linkages with schools and other organisations to spread the message of toastmasters work in Guyana.

The incoming president pointed out that she is willing to work with the members of this distinguished club to ensure that their dreams are rewarded and realised.
Cacique Toastmasters Club was formed in 2004 with the objective of providing members of the Club with an environment to learn and grow and develop their skills in the areas of expression, articulation and confidence in the ability to deliver oneself confidentially in front of an audience.

Several Officers were installed including President Pamarysa Bobb; Vice-President Education, Sonya Forrester; Vice-President Membership, Delon Fraser; Vice -President Public Relations, Deanna Walcott; Secretary Kenesha Collins-Phillips; Treasurer Ato Augustine and Sergeant of Arms, Benedict Yhap.
