MASJID Khalifah and the Bagotville Jama will be hosting an International Quranic Competition on Saturday, June 15, at the Theatre Guild, Parade Street, Kingston, Georgetown.

The competition will run from 13:00hrs (1:00pm) to 16:00hrs (4:00pm) pm. The first-prize winner will be awarded US$1,000 while other cash and prizes are also expected to be awarded.

Applicants are encouraged to apply through email address kurancompetition@gmail.com, or through a voicemail registration, using mobile number 610 8264. The closing date for applications is May 31, 2019. Participants will be placed in four categories:
12yrs & Under (Last Juzz)
16yrs & Under(15 Juzz)
21 yrs & Under and the open category (no age limit) Hafiz/Al Baqarah/Al Waqiah
Persons applying are also being asked to include their names, ages and gender.
Participation and admission are free.
