A drinking spree between two friends ended tragically at Glen Lors, Lower Pomeroon River, Region Two, when one stabbed the other during a heated argument on Saturday.

Dead is Micheal Chu, 48, called “Chuman” of Melville, Lower Pomeroon. Reports indicate the incident occurred around noon on Saturday. The cause of the argument was not disclosed.

This newspaper was told that following the stabbing, Chu was taken to the Charity Hospital where he was treated and admitted but was later transferred to the Suddie Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 17:58 hrs.

The suspect was arrested and is assisting police with their investigation.
