THREE men on Tuesday appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magistrates Court for allegedly robbing and wounding an undercover policeman at an Alberttown club.
The men, Michael Shepherd, Keston Duke and Justin Austin, are jointly charged for the offence they allegedly committed in December, 2018.
It is alleged that they wounded Julius Bowlin and robbed him of a gold chain valued $20,000 and .32 service revolver , valued $125,000 and six matching rounds. Justin Austin and Keston Duke had earlier entered not-guilty pleas. The third suspect, Michael Shepherd, also pleaded not guilty to the charge, which was previously laid indictably.
An application for bail was made to which no objections was made. They were each granted bail in the sum on $50,000 on each charge. The trio are required to report to the Alberttown Police Station and to CID Headquarters, Eve Leary, every Friday.
They are expected to return for trial on May 2, 2019 and May 7, 2019.
