MAY I seize this opportunity to congratulate the Government on winning the No- Confidence Motion case in the Appeal Court. This should be seen as a victory for all Guyanese, whether supporters of the PPP or the Government. A victory for Guyana and democracy; A victory to celebrate the independence of the Judiciary and the executive.

May I remind the Government that this victory should not be viewed as the end of the legal matter since it is likely to be taken to the CCJ. Mr. Editor, I do not wish to be critical, but I cannot help but remind readers that the very PPP that was trying to deny the Government their day in court with regards to this court matter are now requesting their day in court. What hypocrisy.

The PSC, Guyana Bar Association, Civic Society, Freddie Kissoon, Stabroek News, the jack-of-all-trades and master of none, Christopher Ram, Ralph “34-33” Ramkarran and many others were saying the Government has a frivolous case, and they were buying time to delay elections. I am convinced that the CCJ will uphold the Appeal Court ruling. If there is anything to learn from this legal matter is that these characters who were denying the Government their rights in court had an ulterior motive. It is likely that their objectivity was blurred by crude oil.

I, as an individual who is not legally trained, could have seen that what they were pontificating made no legal sense. I said as much, and Ralph “34-33” Ramkarran did what he does best: Argumentum ad hominem attacks. Called me a lunatic. He continues to change his position, and is better served by changing the SC after his name from Senior Council to Senior Contradictor”.

Christopher Ram can be excused since, in his seventies, he is still a junior lawyer and should recognise his status when pronouncing on legal matters. The PSC (The Private Sector Clowns) are just that, and I say no more about them. The Guyana Bar Association is a collection of LLBs and a few LLMs who think they are legal scholars because they have won a few cases against much more mediocre lawyers. Put these mediocre LLBs in front of descent lawyers and their limitations are made painfully obvious. Stabroek News, I would never comprehend what they have done. PPP literally paralysed that newspaper company by removing State advertisements. I spent in excess of $1000US to keep them afloat.

Many others did because we recognised the importance of a free media. Now that we have fed them back to life, they’ve turned around to bite us. Sometimes difficult circumstances make adversaries remove their sheep cloak, and you are shocked to find out that all along they were a pack of wolves. In Europe, there is the popular sport called wolves hunting. May we have such in Guyana and rid the country of all the treacherous and dangerous wolves.

I would wish to remind the Government that they have just completed two-thirds of the legal battle. If they win at the CCJ, which I’m confident they will, then I would humbly suggest that they go and meet the poor suffering Guyanese. Don’t worry. They will not chase you out. Most Guyanese recognised that Bharrat Jagdeo is Blah Blah Jagdeo. Nobody listens to him. Go listen to what they have to say. Try to make things right. Learn from the prior mistakes. I know PPP would say that is buying votes. That’s Okay, PPP! They learnt that from you. Be quiet. You are in the opposition. Stay in your corner.
