SHERWIN Hamilton, age 45, on Monday, March 11,2019, found himself before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Providence Magistrate’s Court on four charges.
It is alleged that on March 7,2019, Hamilton used threatening language, behaved in a disorderly manner at a police station and assaulted Sharon Edwards at Old Road, Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara.
The defendant, a shopkeeper, of Sarah Johanna, East Bank Demerara, was granted bail in the sum of $250,000: $100,000 for each of two assault charges, $20 000 for the threatening-language charge and $10 000 for behaving in a disorderly manner at a police station.
Hamilton vociferously proclaimed his innocence when Magistrate Latchman read the charges to him. He is expected to return to court on Monday, March 18, 2019.
