–to assess preparedness of children to write NGSA

AS the Ministry of Education continues to demonstrate its seriousness about bridging the gap in education delivery between the coast and the hinterland, Assistant Chief Education Officer (ACEO) – Primary (Ag), Ms Carol Benn, and National Parent Teachers Coordinator, Ms Nadia Hollingsworth, last Monday paid a visit to Port Kaituma where they met with teachers and parents of the community.

Specifically, the senior education officials wanted to assess the preparedness of the schools in the community for National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA), which is scheduled to be written in the second week of April.

Ms Hollingsworth and Ms Benn also met with Grade Six teachers to get a better understanding of where they are with NGSA preparations, and what the Education Ministry can do to help.
