NINETEEN-YEAR-OLD Chris Pollard, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, found himself before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court for robbery with violence.

Pollard, of Durban Street, Lodge, is alleged to have, on January 11, 2019, at Croal Street, Georgetown, robbed Ramiz Mohammed of $500 cash along with a $16,000 cellphone, with the use of personal violence.

The prosecutor Corporal Sanj Singh, told the court that Pollard was pointed out during an identification parade and was nabbed by public- spirited persons moments after committing the robbery.

Pollard was granted $40,000 bail by Magistrate Daly and was ordered to return to court on February 6, 2019.
In February 2018, Pollard was charged for stealing his father’s firearm. However, the matter was later dismissed after the man refused to give evidence against his son and opted to give him a second chance.
