THE tenth edition of the Uncensored Show will begin tonight at the National Cultural Center, with organisers are saying that no held-over shows will be possible this time around.

The show, to be held tomorrow night also (Sunday night), is expected to prominently feature recent happenings in the National Assembly. In fact, a funny video of the ‘no-confidence’ vote in parliament has already been made and is being used to advertise the show.

“Uncensored has solidified and has become a class act for stand-up comedy. The show provide comedians with a stage that has removed certain limitations, allowing them the liberty of expressing themselves and making the kind of jokes they would not otherwise be allowed to make anywhere else. Thus, the show will be adults only,” organisers have said in a statement.

The two nights will feature completely different shows, with the first night seeing a line-up of comedians competing for the coveted title of “Uncensored King or Queen.”
“Who will dethrone Odessa Primus? Or will she keep her crown? That is the question on everyone’s mind,” said the organisers.

The second night will see the comedians in a clash, which promises to be a roasting session. Most people are anticipating the clash between Kirwyn Mars and newcomer Kunchi Reynolds, also known as ‘Miss. Pepper.’

The show will feature other comedians such as Lyndon ‘Jumbie’ Jones, Mark ‘Chineeman’ Kazim, Michael Ignatius, Mark Luke Edwards, Kirt “Chubby” Williams, Kwasi “Ace” Edmondson, Jermaine Grimmond, Paul Burnette, Marlon Jacobs, Randolph Critchlow, Granny Ivelaw, and Annie.

The show, for which tickets are almost sold out, is expected to start at precisely 20:00hrs. An after party at Club 704 is planned, where patrons of the show will pay half price once they have their ticket stub.

The new app by 96.1 Voice FM, which will include major door prizes, will also be launched at the show.
