Carter captures silver, Noel helps  Dorado to two more bronze in T&T

FOURTEEN-year-old Donna Carter swam her way to a silver medal, while Raekwon Noel won two more bronze medals for the Dorado Speed Swim Club when action in the ASATT Invitational Club Swim Meet continued over the weekend in Trinidad.

Carter, who won a bronze in the 50M backstroke on Thursday evening, powered her way to a second place finish in the 200M backstroke. The teen was just off the first place mark with a time of 2:58.58s.

Also on Saturday night, the Boys’ 11-12 200M relay team of Vladimir Woodroffe, Ethan Gonsalves, Noel and Elliott Gonsalves, claimed a bronze in the 200M Medley after swimming a time of 2:17.27.

Raekwon, who has been the pick of the 14 Guyanese swimmers in the Twin-Island Republic, captured his fourth individual medal when he competed on Sunday morning.  The 12-year-old, who had won a gold medal in the 800M freestyle on Saturday morning, clocked 4:47.77 to finish third in the 400M freestyle event in the 11-12 age division.

The FINA-sanctioned competition was scheduled to finish last night.
