BANDITS escaped after crashing a black Toyota Allion with registration plates, PSS 3701, during a high-speed chase on the La Parfaite Harmonie Public Road, West Bank Demerara, Tuesday evening.

Police said that the vehicle is currently lodged at the Leonora Police Station as investigation continues. Reports indicate that a building contractor who Tuesday night secured his vehicle in front of his Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo home, woke up early Wednesday morning after a resident of the community told him that thieves broke into his vehicle and later escaped in a motorcar.

Upon checking, the victim confirmed that an amplifier, a pioneer tape deck and a crossover were stolen. The matter was reported and based on the description obtained, the vehicle was the same that was seized by the police after a high- speed chase on the La Parfaite Harmonie Public Road, WBD.

The vehicle was retrieved from a drain after it crashed and the occupants abandoned the vehicle and fled.
