A bewildered Phillip “Shoelace” Paul was on Monday afternoon sentenced by Justice Sandil Kissoon in the Demerara High Court for the 2012 murder of Annandale shop owner.
On November 19, 2018 a mixed 12-member jury found him guilty of the murder of Kamal Ramsahoye.

During his trial, it was revealed that Phillip “Shoe Lace” Paul was paid some $60,000 by an accomplice “Tall Man” for the December 2012 murder of Annandale businessman Kamal Ramsahoye. Only Paul was on trial for the man’s murder.
