A CONSTRUCTION worker was on Friday remanded to prison on a simple larceny charge.
Adams Dounce, 26 of old Road Craig, East Bank Demerara, appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore in Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

The charge alleged that on November 7, 2018 at Agricola Public Road, Dounce robbed Syaid Hamid of one gold chain valued $250,000 and $120,000 cash.

The father of two denied the charge which was read out to him in court by the magistrate.
Police Prosecutor Simone Payne objected to bail due to seriousness of the offence.
Dounce was remanded to prison by the magistrate. The matter was adjourned to December 12, 2018.
