THE Ontario Softball Cricket League (OSCL), like it did in 2016 and 2017, has once again made a monetary contribution to a children’s convalescent home in Guyana.
This time around, the beneficiary was the Prabhu Sharan Orphanage, situated at North Housing Scheme, Cornelia Ida, West Coast Demerara.

On Tuesday, OSCL vice-president Terry Mathura and secretary Frederick Halley, who were in Guyana for the Prime Minister’s Softball Cup, run by the Georgetown Softball Cricket League and the eighth edition of the Guyana Softball Cup, organised by the Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA), paid a courtesy call at the institution where they interacted with the staff and children.

Caretaker of the convalescent home, Damyant Abrahim expressed heartfelt thanks to the OSCL for its contribution.
Apart from the donation from the league, personal contributions were also made by its president Albert Ramcharran and vice-president Mathura.
