– police seeking help with identity

THE police are currently investigating a suspected hit-and-run accident in the vicinity of Yarrowkabra on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway on Friday which left a pedal cyclist dead.
According to a release from the police, the accident occurred at around 21:00hrs, and that a blue pedal cycle was found at the scene with one of its wheels detached.

The body of the deceased has not yet been identified, and is presently at the Lyken’s Funeral Home on Norton Street.

The man was reportedly clad in a pair of gray long pants, a blue-and-white long-sleeved jersey and a pair of longboots.
