TERRY Kissoon was brought before Justice Sandil Kissoon on Monday to be retried of a 2010 murder, for which he was sentenced to death in 2013.

A few months ago, the Court of Appeal ruled that the former death row inmate who appealed his sentence should return to court to face a new trial.

State Prosecutor, Lisa Cave read the indictment which states that between the 30th and 31st July 2010, Kissoon murdered Troy Smith.

The Court proceeded to strike a 12-member Jury to carry out the retrial. Court was then adjourned and the trial set to commence this morning.
Terry Kissoon will be represented by Senior Counsel Bernard DeSantos throughout his retrial.
