Big wins for BV, St Agnes as COURTS Pee Wee football gets going

THE 2018 edition of the COURTS Guyana Inc. and Smalta Supreme Pee Wee football tournament commenced yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue.

BV decimated St Stephen’s 5-0 with a brace from Omari Dennis (35th, 39th) along with single strikes from Jaden Harris (9th), Mark Glasgow (15th) and Malachi Washington (28th).

St Agnes caned their opponents Parfaite Harmonie (Genesis) 9-0 with Shawn Murray registering strikes in the 9th, 23rd, 26th, 27th, 28th.

A brace from Tromel Cutton (22nd, 32nd) along with lone strikes from Justin Alcindor (1st) and Darius Chester (4th) did the job.

There was no play in the opening game between Smith Memorial and Clonbrook while Victoria drew Redeemer 1-1. Victoria’s scorer was Kenny Hally (19th) while Nicholas Watts (26th) was on target for Redeemer.

Mocha won via walkover Den Amstel while Mae’s through Jaden Dipchand (13th), Darille Charles (25th) and Mike Holder (36th) beat Timehri 3-0.

North Georgetown won via walkover Goed Fortuin with St Margaret’s and Soesdyke playing to a goalless stalemate and St John Bosco Orphanage drawing Marian Academy 1-1. St John had Jude Daniel on target in the 6th minute with Asher Adams equalising in the 28th

St Ambrose won via walkover from Craig while the Grove vs F.E. Pollard match was not played as well and South Ruimveldt won via walkover from Colaaco.

Sophia won via walkover from Ann’s Grove and the same result applied for Tucville against J.E. Burnham.

St Pius beat Enterprise 4-1 with Kaden Wellington (2nd, 28th) doubling his money to complement the goals scored by Keron Garraway (29th) and Chance Niles (32nd). Jude Hilliman (3rd) scored for Enterprise.

West Ruimveldt through Syon Sampson won 1-0 against Golden Grove.

Matches continue next Saturday.
