GUYANA’s top badminton players will head into action today at the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Narayan Ramdhani will be the first Guyanese player to step on to the court when he faces Jamaica’s Gareth Henry in their Men’s Singles Round of 32.
Jonathan Mangra will then face Esteban Hurtado Rojas of Costa Rica in the same Round of 32 before partnering with Narayan in the Round of 16 Doubles.
The Guyanese male duo will take on Cesar Brito and Reymi Cabreras of The Dominican Republic in a bid to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Narayan’s younger sister, Priyanna Ramdhani will also be in action when she takes on Panama’s Nathalie Fedney Vidal in the Women’s Singles round of 16 for a spot in the quarter-finals.
The Ramdhani siblings will also team up in the Mixed Doubles to take on Barbados’ Damien Howell and Tamisha Williams in their round of 16 match.
