Several apartments in a building which housed the living quarters of employees of the Guyana Forestry Commission (GFC) at Soesdyke , East Bank Demerara were gutted by fire on Monday.

Reports are that the fire of unknown origin razed the building within minutes around midday on Monday . There were no reports of injuries.

Members of the Guyana Fire Service responded to the scene and are currently undertaking an investigation into the incident.
