According to the rules of the competition, all that is required to enter is for Shell customers to spend G$3000 on Shell V-Power or Shell FuelSave products to receive a coupon, which must be completed and dropped into the boxes provided at participating stations.

The promotion, which runs from July 25 to September 5, has on offer a Grand Prize bundle of a laptop, study desk, chair, printer, tablet, cellular phone and Shell fuel.

For the second-place winner, the company is offfering to pay that person’s tuition fees for a year and throw in a tablet for good measure, while the third-prize winner will be outfitted with school uniform, back-pack, shoes, books and a tablet.

There will also be weekly draws for laptops and tablets, while customers spending $5,000 and more on Shell fuel will have a chance to ‘spin to win’ backpacks and back-to-school supplies during weekly happy hours.

According to Retail Sales Executive Renée Armstrong-Joseph, Sol Guyana, the licensed operator of Shell Service Stations, has so succeeded in delivering on cutting-edge advances in high-performance fuel and lubricant technology, that it was moved to also support access to technology for Guyanese students.

“From our company’s inception,” she said, “we pledged to deliver the most technologically advanced petroleum products available.

“Our company is committed to ensuring that we continue to see the benefits of technology in every area of our lives, and our students here in Guyana must therefore be afforded the opportunity to be up-to-date with all forms of technology.”

Joseph said Shell V-Power stands out as a premium fuel with the benefit of over 100 years of Shell scientific experience, and featuring a unique double action formulation designed to actively clean engines, reducing friction and deliver more power.

Customers can also choose Shell’s advanced FuelSave formula for fuel economy using Shell’s active efficiency ingredients.
