A TWENTY-seven-year old gym instructor was on Monday found guilty of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and was sentenced to four years in jail by Principal Magistrate Judy Latchman.

Michael Sampson of Delhi Street, Prashad Nagar was charged for sexually assaulting the child at his home on February 19, 2018.

The defendant was represented by attorney-at-law Bernard DaSilva and the matter was prosecuted by Police Corporal Shawn Gonsalves.
According to reports, the teen was at Sampson’s home visiting with her relatives when it is alleged that Sampson touched her inappropriately.

The child told her mother and the defendant was arrested and charged for the offence.
